Mattress Fundraiser

Our Mattress fundraiser is this weekend!!  Have you shared the event on Facebook?  Invited your friends and family?  Remember, your child earns money for each sale they refer!  We would like a couple parents to hang out at the fundraiser in 2 hour shifts to represent the band.  We will deposit $5 for each shift you volunteer for into your student's account.

Concert Supervision

We're still looking for a couple of parents to help out at the concert on March 22.  This is a simple job of ensuring kids stay silent during performances and making sure they move to/from the stage at the correct times.  You will get to see your child perform!

Booster Board Nominations Next Month!

Have you wanted to have a voice as to events, fundraiser and general band things?  Now is your chance!  Next month at the April Booster meeting we will be having nominations for the board.  Our current president will be retiring with the graduation of her daughter.  All positions are open to anyone who wishes to serve.  The board officer descriptions can be found here: Highland Band Booster Officer Descriptions
 
Speaking of the boosters, do you know we meet every 2nd Monday of the month in the band room?  Being a band booster is free and each and every person who volunteers helps to make the band program more successful.  Meetings are generally around 30-45 minutes.  We could use some fresh faces to help plan more fun for our kids and band families. Please think of coming to join us!

We want to thank each child and parent that helped to make our Spring Craft Fair a huge success!  We had a record number of crafters and vendors!

Kankakee Valley ~ Competition Week

First all of THANK YOU to those that came out to support the band this past weekend at our festival. It was a success. Now onto this week it is pretty busy with the homecoming football game, competition and the dance. Below is from Mr. Blocker regarding the schedule for those events, Also we are still needing some help with feeding the kids and pit crew. Perfect time to help if your kid is wanting to go to homecoming you will need to be at the competition to pick your child up in order for your child to go to the dance.
