EVENTS

Tie-Dye Night - Friday, September 27th 6pm-8pm.  Cost is $5 for tie-dye supplies, pizza & soda. Bring your own t-shirts.  White shirts with color and black shirts with bleach.

Bowling Night - Tuesday, November 26th.  Lanes reserved at Stardust Bowling Lanes in Dyer. Cosmic bowling fun for all.

FUNDRAISERS

QPon Books.  These are coming at the end of September.  They will cost $20 and are filled with fantastic savings on establishments in Northwest Indiana.  Each book sold earns your Band Student $5.00 in their Student Account.

Fall Craft Show - November 9 & 10. This is one of the most profitable fundraisers. 97 spots are filled so far. Help us spread the word via Facebook.  Volunteering to work earns $2/hr worked for EACH member of a student's family who works into your Band Student's Account!

Scrip Fundraising. Do you shop for groceries? Do you put gasoline in your car? Do you shop for clothing? Do you go out to eat dinner?  If you say YES to any of those statements, then you really should check out the Scrip Program.  It's easy to earn money for your Band Student's Account.

Hobart Contest Week - Saturday, September 14th

Saturday:
12:30pm Doors open

1-3pm REHEARSAL IN STADIUM

3:15 PM LOAD TRAILER (instruments FIRST!)

4pm depart HHS 

Bandwiches before uniforms (15 minutes)
Band fully dressed/assembled by 5:38pm
5:40pm LINED UP for warm ups
6:30 Performance
Students change out of uniforms and load up trailer (not DMs) and go SIT AS ONE UNIT in home side bleachers (students on own for concession $$)
8:45 AWARDS
9:00ish DEPART for HHS and TRAILER EMPTY before ANYONE LEAVES

WATER DONATIONS We're asking each Band family to donate 1 case of water.   You can bring it to the school when you drop off your Marcher for practice on September 7th, 9th or before the Home Game on the 10th. Kankakee Valley ~ Competition Week

First all of THANK YOU to those that came out to support the band this past weekend at our festival. It was a success. Now onto this week it is pretty busy with the homecoming football game, competition and the dance. Below is from Mr. Blocker regarding the schedule for those events, Also we are still needing some help with feeding the kids and pit crew. Perfect time to help if your kid is wanting to go to homecoming you will need to be at the competition to pick your child up in order for your child to go to the dance.
