November is the time to be thankful!  The Boosters would like to send out a bunch of THANK YOUS to everyone!  Your help with the craft show this year helped to make it one of the best in years!  We had so many people tell us how well it was run and how helpful everyone was.  That all would have been impossible without the generous donations of basket raffles, bake sale donations, soda donations and most importantly your time!

We had 71 booths filled with 70 crafters!  The crowd was so large on Saturday we had many of our crafters & vendors tell us that they had record sales on that one day!  We also ran out of taco meat on Saturday!  Both on Saturday and Sunday we had a parent run to the store to pick up popcorn supplies and a few other things needed for concessions!  Everyone we spoke with had nothing but praise for how the show was run, the help that was given by all the kids and how nice everyone they worked with for this show was!  Kudos to everyone!



Band Family Bowling Night was a HUGE success as well!  We had 100 bowlers taking up all 20 lanes on the one side! AMAZING!  Thank you to everyone who came out to spend time with your band family!  We hope to see you at more events!!  If you took any pictures you can tag us on Facebook or Instagram!  These make great pictures for our end of the year banquet slide show! 

Holiday Concert

Our Holiday Concert is December 19th @ 6:30pm.  Students and Parent Helpers should report to the band room by 6pm.  Mr. Blocker will be personally contacting parents to help chaperone kids for the concert.  If you can help out, please let him know!

MOD Pizza

Our next dining out fundraiser is at MOD Pizza on December 20th!  We will have a page in the concert program.  You can present that or the picture in the Facebook event and the band will receive 20% ALL DAY!

Pep Band

Remaining Performance dates: Friday December 1st, Tuesday January 9th, Wednesday January 10th, Friday January 19th, Saturday January 20th, Friday January 26th and Saturday February 10th. 

On January 20th, we invite any alumni to come play with us!  If you know anyone who was a member of the Highland Bands, invite them to come out and play.  We have some instruments available if needed, just let us know!  We will have the music available for practicing sometime in December.  If you'd like more info, follow the event thru Facebook!

On February 10th, we invite the 7th and 8th graders to come play!
 
December 11th is our next booster meeting!  Come join us at 7pm in the band room!

Kankakee Valley ~ Competition Week

First all of THANK YOU to those that came out to support the band this past weekend at our festival. It was a success. Now onto this week it is pretty busy with the homecoming football game, competition and the dance. Below is from Mr. Blocker regarding the schedule for those events, Also we are still needing some help with feeding the kids and pit crew. Perfect time to help if your kid is wanting to go to homecoming you will need to be at the competition to pick your child up in order for your child to go to the dance. 2021 Marching Season is upon us

Inbox Marching season is in full swing and competitions are just around the corner.  HIGHLAND MARCHING FESTIVAL - SEPT. 18TH This is a HUGE event  and we need all parent-hands-on-deck.
