  August 2020 Newsletter Hi Everyone! August has come and gone and the band keeps playing 😀. Virtual band class is in full swing and the Marching Band is performing on the football field. Come out and support the kids. Band parents, family and friends play an important roll in high school band. We all are band boosters and we all contribute to a successful season. Join in the mix and be part of winning team. Providing an extra set hands at games, donating drinks & snacks, or simply cheering, it is always a good time.   July 2020 Newsletter Happy Summer Everyone! My name is Jim Walker I graduated from Highland in 1981 and this year I am the secretary for the Highland Band Boosters. My son, Preston, is a Junior, plays trumpet and has been in marching band since 8th grade.  Last year I acted as VP of Events and I enjoyed it very much. I hope everyone is having a great Summer. Marching Band Camp 2020 is under way with practices starting this week (an abbreviated outdoor only schedule). We are excited to get back into it this year. April 2020 Newsletter Board Nominations It's time to nominate someone to hold a position on our Booster Board for the 2020-2021 School Year.  Nominations may be submitted by clicking HERE and filling out the form. Nominate yourself OR someone else (just let them know first). Future Band News Unfortunately, there are too many unknowns at this time. The Band Booster Team will work with the Director & Highland High School to make any decisions necessary moving forward into the Summer. For now, we expect an update by May 1st on what the Summer will look like for Marching Band. Fundraisers Obviously, we had to cancel our fundraisers: Mattress Sale & Spring Craft Show. These events normally help us raise a big chunk of our fundraising dollars. We also have not spent much so we are saving money too.
